Full Size Truck Fan
Part #250- Designed for full size Chevy
Trucks 1988 1999 with 34" and wider radiator cores. Eliminating the stock
belt-driven fan and shroud improves horsepower; Austins Pro/Max in Tacoma, WA ran a
dyno test on a 1992 Suburban 350 and showed a return of 12 horses to the rear wheels and
16 ft.-lb. of torque by replacing the stock clutch fan with a Flex-a-lite #250. Additional
benefits include better gas mileage, reduced fan noise, and more control over the cooling
parameters.
The air-conditioning relay and adjustable thermostat included with the model 250 triggers
the fan to operate only when needed, allowing the engine to warm up faster in cold
weather. A manual switch (Flex-a-lite #31148) allows the
electric fan to be turned off through water crossings.
This unit comes complete with its own shroud, mounting brackets, and wiring needed to
complete the installation. |
