This unit was built in September 1992 to remove orchard stumps after the trees were
dropped. Due to the extreme environment this unit runs in, DDEC controls were the only
choice. Along with all the normal safety shutdowns, we incorporated a dust detection
shutdown in the air intake system. If dirt passes the air cleaner element, the engine will
shut down. This feature has saved quite a lot of money. At this time horsepower has been
limited to 350. Although who knows what the future may hold.
